Meet Sharon: The Passionate Visionary

Ulivary is cofounded by Sharon, an emotionally sensitive woman whose inspiration comes from her childhood. The colors, art, and dolls she played with as a child created in her a dream of becoming a world-renowned designer. Like anyone else, life happened and that dream did not come to fruition as she imagined.

However, through her journey of growth and travel, Sharon met Asian designers abroad who understood Eastern aesthetic. Through the stories told of loneliness abroad that many of these designers felt, she wanted to use, combine, and infuse their aesthetics to create an Eastern-Western alternative fashion brand to be shared with the world.

Sharon realized it was not being a famous designer that was important to her, but leading a group of inspired designers to create something truly special.

Meet Rachel: The Rational Adventurer

Rachel is the passionate, expressive other half of Ulivary. She is a Latin dancer, a romantic, and true adventurer. With her years in brand marketing and cross-cultural work, she has an incredible eye for market insights, trends, and what people truly want.

She has traveled most of the world learning, growing, and understanding artists, designers, and how best to bring oriental designs to the world. Rachel brings the rational aspect to Ulivary. Through her experiences abroad and at large design firms, she wants to help integrate different ideas, cultures, and artistic aesthetics and display them for people to enjoy.

Together, Sharon and Rachel came together—Sharon with her passion, Rachel with her rationale—and thought, why not? They were brought together for the right reasons: why not build something inspired by authentic oriental aesthetic expression and share that with others?

They love what they do, and through their passion, design sense, and ability to bridge the East and West, they believe they can truly create something special at Ulivary.
