Our History (1961-1980)

Pasteur Pharmacy was founded at 10 Park Avenue, NYC by Dr. Isidore Farber and Dr. Joseph Iliev, both experts in pharmaceuticals. Their vision was to provide superior prescription services and personalized customer care. Over time, Pasteur Pharmacy became well known for hard-to-find medications, ethical business practices, and high-quality formulations.

A New Generation (1987-2010)

In 1987, leadership transitioned to Leon Tarasenko and Steven Schimmel, two experienced pharmacists. Their goal was to expand and modernize while maintaining the store's heritage. By 1992, Pasteur Pharmacy had expanded to 806 Lexington Avenue, acquiring the historic Radoff Pharmacy (est. 1948).

Our Shaving Tradition (2015-Present)

By 2015, Pasteur Pharmacy had become widely recognized as a premier destination for wet shaving and men's grooming. Our selection includes some of the most respected brands in the industry, such as Truefitt & Hill, Omega, Noble Otter, and Semogue. Today, we are one of the largest retailers of luxury shaving products in the United States.

Expanding Online (2020-Present)

In response to growing demand, we launched our online store in 2020 to ensure customers could access our exclusive selection from anywhere in the world. Since then, we have expanded our shipping capabilities and are continuing to grow our global presence. By 2025, our goal is to expand to over 150,000+ products and offer lower-cost international shipping.
