The concept for Deer Valley Danes started at an AKC conformation show. While perusing the vendor stands, Karin noticed there were not a lot of healthy options for dog treats. She also noticed the exhibitors and handlers looked stressed. So she thought "We need a health and wellness shop for pets and people!"

This lightbulb moment perfectly captures how the best business ideas often come from identifying unmet needs in communities you're already part of.

15+ Years of Raw Feeding Expertise

As a raw feeder for over 15 years, Karin researched raw and homemade diets for pets. Her continued research led her to alternative and functional care for pets. This extensive experience provides the foundation for her expertise in pet nutrition and wellness.

Karin had been a Great Dane enthusiast for over 30 years. She shows her dogs in AKC conformation, bringing decades of experience in breeding, showing, and caring for these magnificent dogs.

Her beautiful bitch Daisy (MBISS GCH Hladik's Jump Up and Kiss Me) showed successfully in the Top 20 several years in a row and now shows in Veterans at the grand age of 12. This achievement demonstrates the quality of Karin's breeding program and the longevity of her dogs.

Next Generation Success

Daisy's gorgeous daughter Maisie (GCH Deer Valley's Busy Being Fabulous CGC) took Winner's Bitch at the Great Dane National and has several group placements. This success continues the legacy of excellence in Karin's breeding program.

Ernie (Deer Valley's The Importance of Being Ernie CGCA) and Dolce (star of TikTok) are their fun ambassadors to the breed. These dogs help promote the wonderful temperament and personality of Great Danes while representing the Deer Valley Danes brand.

Since childhood, horses have been a part of Karin's life. She is a dressage enthusiast showing locally with her exquisite mare Adelaide WF. This lifelong connection to horses adds another dimension to her animal care expertise.

Family Partnership

At home, Karin is married to her partner in crime Ken Roseman. Ken practices personal injury and medical malpractice law in Delaware. Their son, Zach, and his beautiful girlfriend Stephanie, live nearby in Wilmington and share the same love of Great Danes.
