Born from a simple question — why can't blending be truly cordless and portable? — BLENDi has spent years engineering, iterating, and innovating to bring a blender wherever you go.

From early prototypes to 120W ice-crushing power and a fully detachable blending base, BLENDi is built to make portable blending more capable, convenient, and genuinely useful.

2017: The First Prototype — A Drill Battery And A Dream

BLENDi's journey started with a scrappy experiment: stripping a traditional corded blender, mounting a drill battery and trigger to the side, and wiring it so a squeeze of the trigger powered the blades.

That first prototype proved that truly cordless, portable blending was possible. In the same year, collaboration with UMass engineers helped transform a standard shaker bottle into a custom blending base that became the foundation for BLENDi's next-generation design.

2018: First 300 Units Sold Out By December

After two years of ideation and development, BLENDi produced its first 300 units and sold out by December 2018. That early response proved people were ready for a truly portable blending solution.

The sell-out debut gave BLENDi the momentum to continue engineering a product that could deliver more power and more convenience without giving up portability.

2019: The BLENDi Story Reaches More People

In March 2019, BLENDi's journey was featured in MassLive, sharing the story behind the brand and its early portable-blending innovation with readers across Massachusetts.

That recognition reflected the excitement around a product solving a real problem in a genuinely new way.

2022: The BLENDi Pro Brings 120W Ice-Crushing Power

In 2022, BLENDi introduced the first BLENDi Pro, engineered with enough power to go beyond powders and fresh fruit. With 120W of power, it became the first portable blender in the BLENDi lineup capable of crushing ice.

This leap in performance changed what portable blending could mean. A cordless blender no longer had to mean compromising on capability.

2023: The Pro+ Makes Every Sip More Thoughtful

In 2023, BLENDi relaunched the original blender as the Lite and officially reintroduced it at the Into The Blue event hosted by Lowe's. The brand also launched the Pro+ with a fully detachable blending base.

That design lets you enjoy your drink without sipping around exposed blades because the blending base separates securely from the bottle. It is a small detail with a meaningful impact on the everyday user experience.
