Founders Annmarie and Kevin Gianni set out to find clean, effective products they could honestly recommend to their healthy-living audience. What they discovered was a much bigger opportunity: to bring a truly intentional, wild-crafted skincare line to more people.

In 2008, healthy-living bloggers Annmarie and Kevin powered up a vegetable-oil-powered RV and began a 2½-year journey across North and South America. Their goal was to meet healthcare experts, growers, healers, and product makers for their video series, The Renegade Health Show.
Viewers loved the show, but they kept asking Annmarie a practical question: what products did she use on her skin? When the couple looked through their own cupboards, they realized nothing they were using met the clean, effective standards they wanted to share.
That discovery turned their search into a mission to find skincare that was truly thoughtful from ingredient to finished formula.
When “Clean” Wasn’t Clean Enough
Annmarie and Kevin spoke with skincare company owners and formulators, hoping to find a line they could trust. Instead, they learned that “cleaner and greener” could still mean leaving certain ingredients off a label when they fell below a regulatory threshold.
That wasn’t good enough for them. They didn’t want products that were technically compliant while still depending on loopholes. They wanted skincare made without toxic chemicals, without hidden shortcuts, and without compromising the trust of the person using it.
The Patagonia Discovery
After more than six months of looking, Annmarie walked into a small spa in Patagonia, Arizona. There, an esthetician introduced her to a skincare line that felt completely different.
The products felt alive, with a palpable energetic vibration, and the scent was unlike anything she had experienced. When Annmarie applied the face oil, she saw immediate results. At last, they had found a line they could recommend.
Meet Bunnie, Herbalist, Chemist, And Master Formulator.
Bunnie had been formulating products with organic ingredients for more than 30 years, using herbs and extracts straight from nature in their finest and purest form. Her formulas had previously been available only in spas. In 2009, she agreed to help bring the line to a wider audience, and Annmarie Skin Care was born.
