Born From A Decade Of Roasting Excellence

GO MENTAL Mushroom Coffee grew from Cooper's Cask Coffee, a roastery that began with signature barrel-aged coffees. Single-origin beans were aged in freshly emptied whiskey, rum, and wine barrels to create uniquely rich flavor profiles.

With more than 30 single-origin coffees from Ethiopia, Kenya, Sumatra, Rwanda, and beyond, founder John Speights built a deep foundation in roasting before launching GO MENTAL in 2024 to explore the fusion of premium coffee with functional mushroom ingredients.

John Speights founded GO MENTAL Coffee and Cooper's Cask Coffee from a deep appreciation for the art and science behind each cup. His goal with GO MENTAL was to create coffee that delights the palate while fitting into a more functional approach to daily wellness.

By combining USDA Organic Grade 1 beans with carefully sourced mushrooms, John and his team created a coffee designed to stand out in both taste and ritual.
