Clout's signature approach begins with single-origin Colombian Arabica beans and takes them somewhere unexpected: into freshly dumped spirit barrels. After weeks of aging and small-batch roasting, the alcohol is gone, but the bold character and aroma of the spirit remain.

In May 2018, Carole Sprunk brought together her love of coffee, bourbon, and community to create Clout Coffee. The brand began with a belief that coffee is more than a beverage: it is a daily ritual that connects family and friends while also giving people a quiet moment of their own.
That belief still shapes the way Clout develops its coffees, gifts, and experiences.
The Barrel-Aging Process - Bold Flavors, No Shortcuts
Clout starts with green Colombian Arabica beans and ages them for eight or more weeks in freshly dumped spirit barrels. The barrels are rolled so the beans receive even exposure to the wet staves, allowing the character of bourbon, rye whiskey, or single malt whisky to become part of the coffee's flavor story.

Where The Beans Begin
Colombian Huila Mill: The El Camino Real blend is typically 90% Supremo and 10% Excelso, depending on the harvest. At 1,100-1,800 MASL, it brings notes of baker's chocolate, black walnut, stone fruit, lemon, cocoa, bruleed fruit, and citrus.
Cerrado Mineiro, Brazil: The espresso roast comes from a region at 1,050-1,130 MASL, with aromas of brownies, caramel, marshmallows, and a juicy body alongside toasted oats and lemon tea.

In October 2023, Alicia and Brian Jett brought Clout Coffee to Hermann, Missouri, deepening the brand's connection to local craft culture. Alicia leads as CEO and CHRO, while Brian serves as CFO. Together they continue the women-owned legacy with a strong commitment to community, entrepreneurship, and artisan craft.
