Resveratrol: Red Wine’s Secret Supernutrient

Resveratrol is a powerful polyphenol found in red wine that carries amazing total body benefits!

Resveratrol Delivers All The Benefits Of Red Wine

The benefits of red wine are many, but so too are the drawbacks! It’s hard to pick up a magazine on health and wellness these days without reading something about the amazing benefits of moderate red wine consumption. Research has narrowed down many of these benefits to a polyphenol in red wine called resveratrol. The great news is, resveratrol can also be obtained from Japanese Knotweed and red grape skins without having to drink red wine! Red wine can be a problem for many of us. It’s extremely high in sugar, calories, and alcohol. It’s also generally high in sulfites and histamine. Because red wine is a byproduct of yeast fermentation, it can also contain mycotoxins and it raises blood sugar very rapidly.

Resveratrol Is A Powerful Free Radical Scavenger

You’ve heard about antioxidants and free radicals before I’m sure. Free radical scavengers like Resveratrol can lend an electron to unstable free radicals that can cause oxidative damage to the cells in your body. By supporting your body’s defenses against these free radicals and the oxidative damage they cause, you are also supporting a fine-tuned immune system, healthy inflammation balance, and optimal aging!

These tiny little lozenges make the perfect dessert! You may have heard me say this before in one of my blogs or Facebook Live videos… I love swapping out dessert for one or two of my little Resveratrol lozenges! They taste so good and really hit the spot when it comes to an after-dinner craving for something sweet!

Resveratrol Supports Optimal Cardiovascular Health

Resveratrol is a verifiable “wunderkind” when it comes to supporting a healthy cardiovascular system and balanced blood pressure. This polyphenolic powerhouse has been shown in clinical trials to upregulate blood levels of nitric oxide (NO), which in turn exerts a relaxing effect on vascular tissue and supports balanced blood pressure in a bold way. Add all that to the fact that Resveratrol helps support a healthy inflammation response, and bolsters the body’s defenses against oxidative damage done by free radicals and reactive oxygen species, and you have an amazing suite of optimal health-supporting benefits in one tiny little lozenge!

Who Should Take My Resveratrol Supplement?

My Resveratrol formula is perfect for anyone who:

  • Wants to obtain the health benefits of red wine without the sugar, alcohol, and calories
  • Is concerned about the appearance of vascular tissue in their legs and thighs
  • Has a sweet tooth after dinner and is looking for a healthy fix
  • Wants a high quality free radical scavenger
  • Wishes to support the health of their heart, vascular tissue, and arteries

Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, dissolve 1 lozenge under your tongue twice daily. Consult you physician before use. Read warnings and use only as directed.

FAQs

Where does Dr. Myers’ Resveratrol come from?

I source my Resveratrol from sustainably grown and harvested Japanese Knotweed. While many people think of red grape skins when they think about resveratrol, the fact of the matter is that high quality trans-resveratrol is much more abundant in Japanese knotweed, and far more affordable. The other benefit to extracting resveratrol from Japanese Knotweed is that red grape skins are almost always supersaturated with fungicides which can taint the resveratrol.

When is the best time of day to take Resveratrol? Does it matter if I take it with or without food?

Resveratrol may be taken at any time of the day and can be taken with or without food. I prefer to take mine after dinner as a sweet treat!

Is Resveratrol safe for kids, pregnant women, or nursing mothers?

Yes, my Resveratrol is safe for kids, pregnant women, and nursing mothers when used as directed. However, certain health conditions, advice from your doctor, or prescription medications may contraindicate its use. I always recommend speaking with your qualified healthcare provider if you have any concerns and before starting supplementation in these instances.

Why do you use Stevia in your products?

As you know, the first pillar of The Myers Way® is to remove the toxic and inflammatory foods such as sugar, alcohol, and processed foods that can damage your gut. While following the first 30 days of The Myers Way®, I recommend avoiding all sugars, including natural sweeteners. This is particularly important if you’re addressing gut infections such as SIBO and Candida overgrowth because the bacteria and yeast feed off of carbohydrates and refined sugars.

However, if you’ve completed the protocol, you might be ready to enjoy the occasional, naturally sweetened indulgence!

I want to set you up for success so I only use all-natural sweeteners in my products. Stevia is a great natural sweetener used as a sugar substitute.

What is Stevia?

Stevia is a natural sweetener that is derived from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant which is native to Paraguay and Brazil.

How does Stevia compare to other sweeteners?

Stevia’s sweetness comes from steviol glycosides, which are between 50 and 300 times as sweet as sugar. It is a natural alternative to sugar and artificial sweeteners that may cause harm to your gut health.

Is Stevia bad for you?

There have been a lot of stories about Stevia in the news which has caused some concern about using this ingredient in products and food you consume. The reason Stevia has been in the news is that it’s been found that several manufacturers have bulked up their Stevia by adding other artificial sweeteners, namely erythritol. We use only 100% organic Stevia in our products and none of our products contain erythritol.
