SKINCARE STEP 2: Mask

Treat dry, dull skin to our luscious blend of raw Oregon honey, avocado oil, Oregon meadowfoam seed oil and shea butter for deep hydration. Turmeric acts as a powerful antioxidant and helps calm irritated skin. It’s the perfect antidote to overexposure to the elements any time of year.

BENEFITS:

  • Deeply hydrates dry, flaky skin
  • Soothes irritated, sensitive and chapped skin
  • Smooths rough skin texture
  • Plumps sagging, dehydrated skin
  • Brightens dark spots and patches
  • Softens fine lines and wrinkles
  • Antioxidants protect skin from environmental damage
  • Vitamin A supports collagen production
  • Antibacterial - reduces breakouts and blemishes

DIRECTIONS: Smooth a thin layer onto clean skin twice a week. Remove with a warm washcloth after 15-20 minutes, or wear overnight as an intensive treatment.

PRO TIP: Add 4-5 drops of the Blue Sapphire Concentrated Brightening Oil to increase the calming, brightening and healing power.

KEY INGREDIENTS:

Raw Oregon Honey is teeming with natural enzymes that nourish, gently resurface and rejuvenate stressed skin. Honey binds water to the skin, helping to soften fine lines and wrinkles and soothe irritation. Our honey comes from happy bees at our local organic farm, Rainshadow Organics. Antibacterial qualities reduce blemishes and breakouts.

Oregon Beeswax, gently warmed and filtered. Non-pore clogging, it draws moisture from the air and binds it to the skin while creating a moisture barrier to support skin repair. Rich in vitamin A (natural retinol alternative), brightens and supports collagen production.

Avocado Oil, cold-pressed and certified organic is high in vitamin A, B1, B2, D and E, plus amino acids, sterols, pantothenic acid, lecithin and other essential fatty acids to help combat chronically dry skin. Antioxidants protect skin from the damaging effects of sun and other environmental exposure. Stimulating the production of ceramides in the skin, avocado oil deeply moisturizes and especially good for skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Niacin (B3) helps restore damaged skin by stimulating the production of keratin, a key component of skin.

Turmeric is native to southwestern India. It can help soothe and calm irritated skin. It also nourishes, brightens dark patches and improves the appearance of dry, dull skin.

Bhringaraj helps to rejuvenate, hydrate and brighten the skin, while reducing the appearance of wrinkles. It also has calming properties that helps to reduce redness and irritation. Antimicrobial properties reduce breakouts and acne. Antioxidants protect skin from UV and environmental damage.

Jasmine can help reduce redness and calm stressed skin. We make our own Jasmine Flower decoction (like an extra strong tea) from the dried buds and use it in several of our soothing formulas

Lemon Balm (aka Melissa) Essential Oil is steam distilled from the fresh leaves and stems. It has protective antioxidant properties, brightens and helps improve the appearance of dull, dry skin. The fresh, uplifting aroma is a powerful mood booster

Rose is high in vitamin C, which helps protect skin against environmental stressors. It purifies the skin and effectively controls and balances natural oils. It also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, soothes redness and rejuvenates stressed skin. We use rose hydrosol (a steam distillate of the fresh petals), rose absolute (an intensely aromatic concentrate) and whole dried rose petals in our formulas.

Sesame Oil is the oldest cultivated oil crop known. Sesame was domesticated in India at least 3500 years ago and occurs naturally in sub-Saharan Africa. This deeply nourishing oil is used the world over for its skin softening abilities.

Sandalwood We obtain our sandalwood essential oil from regenerative farms in Western Australia. Sandalwood is a powerful emollient, reducing dryness and replenishing the moisture in skin, increasing elasticity. The oil also tightens skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while soothing skin with calming compounds that even out tone, reduce the appearance of scars and leave skin renewed and refreshed.

Shea Butter is chock full of nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants. It's deeply moisturizing and helps calm irritated skin. Ours is sustainably harvested and made using traditional methods by a women-run cooperative in western Africa.

Meadowfoam Seed Oil has a lovely light texture and contains over 95% long chain fatty acids and provides a natural moisture barrier for the skin. It’s also rich in antioxidants that protect our skin while at the same time keeping our formulas fresher, longer.
