A black with brown underneath, made from five organic herbs. No peroxide, no ammonia, no PPD. It processes for about an hour, then keeps developing for two to three days — the tone you see on day three is the one that stays.

Natural black hair isn't a flat jet black. Take it outside and warm brown comes through, because dark hair absorbs most of the light hitting it but not all of it. Soft Black is built to behave the same way: darker than Dark Brown, but never the opaque black a chemical dye gives you.

What "100% organic" means here

Not 99%, not 99.9% — every herb in the pouch is certified organic, and there is no base powder or carrier underneath them. Each shade is vacuum-sealed to slow oxidation before you open it, and shipped by air from our production facility in India so newer stock reaches you.

Instead of an opaque, uniform black, this blend lands on a deep shade with soft brown undertones — darker than Dark Brown, but still reading as hair rather than as dye. Because plant pigment layers over the colour you already have instead of replacing it, your own variation stays underneath. That is why it shifts in daylight.

How it differs from chemical colour

Conventional dye lifts your own pigment out and puts synthetic pigment in its place. This one doesn't lift anything — plant pigment layers over the colour you already have, so the cuticle stays shut and there is no damage to repair afterwards. That's the whole trade: it asks for more time, and gives you a result you can repeat for years.

What to expect over three days

• Right after rinsing — muted, slightly green. The indigo hasn't oxidized yet. This is the normal starting point, not a failed result.
• First 12 to 24 hours — cool blue-black. Air does the work; the green goes.
• Days two and three — settles into Soft Black as the slower red-violet molecule finishes forming and warms the blue down. Judge your colour here, not before.

If it stalls at a purple cast, the hair most likely dried out too fast during the first day. If it holds a warm or reddish cast past day three, water pH, mineral content or product residue are the usual causes. Neither is permanent damage.
