FAA Agent DECAF | Colombia Specialty Coffee | Sweet and Smooth

Think decaf can't be Boujee? The FAA Agent DECAF is here to file a flight plan correction. This is Aviation's Specialty Coffee for the Legend who wants a flawless cup at any hour: a single-origin Colombia decaf specialty coffee sourced from the high-altitude Atunkaa region, decaffeinated using the rare and natural Sugar Cane Process that preserves every layer of flavor most decaf methods destroy. Freshly air-roasted in craft batches every week in Rockwall, Texas by a disabled veteran-owned roastery that applies the same no-compromise standard to decaf as it does to every coffee in the fleet. Because the Top Gun of Coffee doesn't lower its standards after dark.

Flavor Profile: Milk Chocolate, Orange & Lemon

The FAA Agent DECAF doesn't fly like a typical decaf, and that's exactly the point. Rich milk chocolate leads the approach, followed by a bright citrus pairing of orange and lemon that gives this Colombia light to medium roast a clean, sweet complexity that stops decaf skeptics mid-sip. With a specialty cupping score of 85.5, this is top-1% Boujee Coffee that happens to be caffeine-free, not a caffeine-free coffee that happens to taste okay. No bitterness. No flat, chemical aftertaste. No compromise: any time of day, any brewing method, any reason.

The Sugar Cane Process: Why This Decaf Is Different From Every Other

Most decaf coffee is processed using chemical solvents, methylene chloride or ethyl acetate derived from petroleum, that strip caffeine efficiently but take the flavor complexity with it. That's why most decaf tastes flat, lifeless, and nothing like the coffee it came from. The Sugar Cane Process is entirely different. Ethyl acetate derived naturally from Colombian sugar cane fermentation is used to gently bond with and remove the caffeine molecules, leaving the bean's natural flavor compounds intact. The result is a decaf that actually tastes like the specialty coffee it is: bright, sweet, complex, and clean. No chemical shortcuts. No flavor casualties. This is how the Top Gun of Coffee does decaf.

Why Air-Roasted Colombia Decaf Tastes Different

Decaffeinated beans are more porous and delicate than their caffeinated counterparts, which means drum roasting at this roast level carries a higher risk of uneven development and scorched flavor notes. We air-roast every batch of FAA Agent DECAF, suspending beans in a precise vortex of clean hot air that develops the milk chocolate depth and citrus brightness evenly without pushing the delicate sugar cane-processed bean past its limits. The result is a decaf specialty coffee that tastes like it should, because we treated it like the top-1% coffee it is.

The Perfect Coffee Gift for Night Owls, Decaf Lovers & Aviation Enthusiasts

Named for the regulatory authority that keeps aviation honest, the FAA Agent DECAF keeps your coffee honest too. No hidden chemicals. No compromised flavor. No caffeine keeping you up at 0200. Whether you're shopping for someone who loves coffee but avoids caffeine, a veteran who needs a late-night cup without consequences, or a pilot on a rest cycle who refuses to drink bad decaf, this is Aviation's Specialty Coffee cleared for all hours of operation.

  • Sweet & Smooth: Milk chocolate, orange, and lemon, a decaf light to medium roast with zero flat aftertaste.
  • Sugar Cane Decaf Process: Natural, chemical-free decaffeination that preserves every layer of flavor. Not all decaf is created equal.
  • Specialty Grade (85.5): Top 1% of all coffee in the world. Independently scored. The same standard as every coffee in our fleet.
  • Freshly Air-Roasted: Craft batch roasted weekly and shipped fresh, a specialty decaf deserves the same care as any other top-1% coffee.
  • Veteran Owned: 100% disabled veteran-owned roastery. 10% of revenue deployed to veteran and aviation nonprofits monthly.
  • Any Time of Day: Morning, afternoon, evening, or 0200, the FAA Agent DECAF is cleared for all-hours operation.
